We had a wonderful stay in Ali's cottage for my husbands special birthday. The location is brilliant as it's nice and quiet yet within walking distance of a couple of excellent village shops, two pubs and a brewery. The cottage itself was built in the 18th Century and has lots of atmosphere. The layout is slightly quirky but that adds to the charm. We especially loved the bar billiards and other games, books, maps and the piano. Perfect for a family get together. We were very touched by the 70th birthday balloons and decorations. Ali responded to any queries very quickly. I'd certainly recommend this cottage as an excellent place to stay in the Cotswolds.

A beautiful, character home, with spaces for everyone to relax. Very cosy living areas with open fires, large kitchen, well stocked for cooking up a storm. Comfy, cosy bedrooms and bright, pristine bathrooms. Separate lavatory downstairs was convenient. House was tastefully decorated for Xmas. We were a party of 7 adults and were never under each others' feet…plenty of space to spread out. Hook Norton is a pretty village with amenities within walking distance. We could not have wished for anything more….delightful.

We loved our stay here. Hook Norton is such a gem esp if you have a husband who is very much into brewing beer. The brewery is so amazing. The house is huge, we loved having all the space. Esp the bathrooms. There were only 4 of us, 2 couples and didn't necessarily need all that room but it was wonderful to have. The price was also very reasonable for all that space. Esp for the area. It has a great location within short walking distance of everything. A pub, a great little community store that has a surprising amount and variety of food and supplies. This is our second trip to Hook Norton and we will be back. This house had so much character, space and the town is one of the best kept secrets in the Cotswolds. No crowds to speak of and we loved it.

We had a wonderful stay here as group of university friends meeting for a reunion. The property is full of character, blending its historic charm with everything needed for a comfortable stay. It is immaculately prepared for guests (there were even several goodies in the kitchen to greet us), and we enjoyed browsing the books, having a sing-song at the piano and relaxing in the beautiful garden. The village is idyllic, with great pubs within it and nearby, excellent walking, and of course the brewery. Very good value for money and the perfect place for a Cotswold escape.

A storybook cottage set in a lovely quiet village. The village shop is a one minute walk away and is a proper little grocery store stocking everything we needed. We enjoyed many fires in the living room, and the billiard room was exceptionally laid out and decorated and took coziness to another level! It's an old home with a lot of character, and as long as expectations are appropriate, you are sure to have a wonderful stay!!

We chose Hook Norton for a family 70th birthday get together . The location was ideal ,as we were all coming from different areas of the country . The cottage lived up to expectations , the grandchildren thought it was magic ( their words) . Ali was a great host & even decorated with 70th Birthday decorations for my husband . Lots of lovely walks in the area & pubs . We had a family meal at the Sun Inn next door , food was good and child friendly. Even went to Diddly Squat farm which was fun & only 10 mins away . All in all a great weekend !!

Bridge Hill Cottage was perfect and worked well for our stay. We were two families with children and the accommodation worked well with enough bedrooms and a spacious kitchen, lounge and a second reception room for all to enjoy. The location was great, a short walk to local shop and pub and close to other bigger Cotswolds villages.
The cottage was as described with all modern amenities and everything to guarantee a comfortable stay.
The host was very responsive and gave lots of great local recommendations.
We will definitely recommend Bridge Hill Cottage in Hook Norton.

An absolutely beautiful cottage in a stunning area. Clean, tidy, really spacious with lots to entertain the children. It's 30 seconds from the pub with friendly locals and delicious food. A great base for exploring other areas of the Cotswolds. We went to the local beer festival, Diddly Squat Farm Shop and the beautiful town of Bourton on the Water which had loads of fantastic pubs and sweet little shops.
We had a really special weekend celebrating my Mams 70th birthday, it was perfect. We would definitely return. Thank you so much.

Our family of 8 loved our stay in Bridge Hill. It was a cute, Cotswolds style house to stay in with plenty of room for everyone to spread out -and yet enjoy each other (playing cards, watching the tennis grand final, playing the piano). All the beds were comfortable and very clean. It was a very quiet little town (although the pub close by sounded fun -not loud, just fun). The host was very responsive and thorough and kind in her explanations. We definitely recommend staying here.

Bridge Hill Cottage at Hook Norton is set in the very pretty village of Hook Norton and feels wonderfully peaceful. The surroundings are charming, and the whole place has a warm, storybook quality. Staying here genuinely felt like living in Godric's Hollow from the Harry Potter books.
Hook Norton itself is lovely. We visited the Hook Norton Brewery (must visit), where we had a sumptuous lunch, and the café there was especially warm and cosy — a real highlight of our stay. There is also a local store just about a minute's walk from Bridge Hill Cottage, which was well stocked and extremely helpful for day-to-day essentials. The people around the village were warm, friendly, and very welcoming, which added greatly to the overall experience.
Comfortable stay overall with a great experience. There's some scope for improvement in kitchen utensils, cleanliness of kitchen fabrics, and bed linens. Despite this, the place is highly recommended.

This cottage was lovely. It's exactly as pictured, and our stay was so peaceful. We spent a couple of days bopping around the Cotswolds with toddlers, and needed a home base. My kids were enamored, and my older child keeps asking when we're coming back. My sister and husband both wandered to different inns and pubs to grab food and loved how close we were to everything. It was a really magical trip and I wish we had budgeted more time!

Bridge Hill Cottage is a charming place to stay, perfectly situated in the centre of Hook Norton. The Sun Inn is about 50 feet from the front door, which is an excellent bonus for those who'd like to indulge in excellent food washed down with locally brewed beer! The cottage itself housed 9 of us pretty comfortably, though only having one shower wasn't ideal. Ali was a helpful, proactive and organised host, providing useful information ahead of our arrival. All in all we had a pleasant stay and would recommend Hook Norton to others.

Bridge Hill cottage was a great stay for our reunion. Room for all of us, a true cozy Cotswold cottage. The billiards table was very well used by us!!
The location is very peaceful, perfect for walks and particularly enjoyed the wichford pottery and carvery at the Sun Inn just behind the house. The corner shop is also very well stocked which was really handy.
Ali and co were responsive and flexible in our messaging prior to our stay.
Great price, would definitely stay again and recommend for groups.

Super cute, super spacious, and a super responsive host. A little hard to find only because our mobile service/GPS was bad in that area, but the host's instructions greatly helped. (We recommend downloading maps ahead of time for most of Cotswolds.) Enjoyed our meals next door at The Sun Inn, and enjoyed another pint of Hook Norton beer at The Pear Tree a short walk away. Very quiet, peaceful small village, short drive from bustling Bourton-on-the-Water, etc. Would happily rent this charming cottage again for a large group.

Ali's home was clean and well-kept and had a lot of old home charm and character. The games room was very fun and unique. The house was accurately described in the listing, and it worked great for our family of seven. It is located on a small lane with no outlet, so if you are driving a large vehicle like I was, you may need to park out on the main street, but the local residents were very helpful in explaining where to park and it turned out to be quite easy in the end. The town is walkable and there is a pub immediately behind this home, which is very convenient.

Op de terugweg van onze reis door de Schotse Highlands verbleven we met de familie nog één nacht in dit gezellige huisje. Wat een sfeervolle plek! Het huisje ligt in een charmant dorpje en straalt echt warmte en rust uit, we voelden ons er meteen op ons gemak.
Alles was netjes en verzorgd. We kregen duidelijke instructies van de host, waardoor alles heel vlot en aangenaam verliep.
Het enige wat we jammer vonden, is dat we er niet wat langer konden blijven. Het was echt zo'n plek waar je graag nog even tot rust komt na een mooie reis. Een absolute aanrader!

We had a great stay at Bridge Hill Cottage. The cottage was exactly what we expected based on the listing, and is in a great location in the heart of Hook Norton, a lovely village in the Cotswolds. Walkable to two pubs to visit in the evenings and very easy to park a car to explore the rest of the Cotswolds. We love Hook Norton and loved this place!
One thing to mention, there is only one shower at the property. There are two full bathrooms, one with a shower cubicle and the other with only a bathtub. The listing is accurate but just wanted to mention in case anyone like me overlooked this aspect of the listing. It was not a problem for us as we were a smaller group.

My friends and I had a wonderful experience staying at this charming cottage in Hook Norton.
The hosts were excellent with communication, making sure we had everything we needed throughout the stay, aswell as giving recommendations for local walks and things to do.
The location is ideal- the village is beautiful and easy to walk around with plenty of other great locations in easy driving distance. We enjoyed a walk around Great Tew, finishing up with a fantastic pub lunch at the Falkland Arms. The famous brewery in the village is also a great spot to visit for a coffee or drink and a look around!
The cottage itself was very clean, well equipped and had everything we needed for a restful stay. We loved cooking and enjoying meals in the spacious kitchen and then cosying down in front of the fire in the evenings.
Would highly recommend for a group of friends or families looking to unwind in a peaceful, scenic location.

Had a fantastic time. Great house in a pristine condition, set in the heart of Hook Norton in beautiful countryside. The hosts were very kind and helpful when we managed to lock ourselves out...
Walking distance to some fantastic pubs, village shop is great. Brewery tour interesting too.
Thoroughly recommend that you stay here, we look forward to coming back again soon

We had a really lovely stay at the cottage! The surrounding area was beautiful and very peaceful. We had plenty of room in the property and felt right at home. Unfortunately the wifi at the property wasn't working for our stay but Ali was very responsive and tried to fix it. We did feel as though a little more firewood would have been great but the heating and log fires meant we weren't cold. Thank you!

I cannot praise this place and owners/caretakers highly enough. Beautiful cottage in an idyllic village. It had everything we needed plus thoughtful decorations for my daughters birthday as well as a cake. Would love to come back

Such a lovely place to stay & brilliant hosts. The cottage is great: clean, bright, well-looked after, comfortable, all required amenities, great kitchen - we loved staying there and would highly recommend.
It was easy to find and check in, good parking outside, and the hosts were responsive, polite and really helpful.
The village is lovely - we walked around and found some great places and an excellent playground for the children. The local area has loads to do.
Highly recommended, hopefully we will be back!

Amanda's property is the perfect place for a getaway.
To host up to 10 people. It was perfect for my business trip. It was clean and well presented. Amanda left a lovely lemon cake for us which was well received by my actors.

Great host, friendly and responded quickly. Easy to get into with key safe & code. Parked right outside. Cute, characterful cottage. Enclosed quirky garden. Amazing location, next door to pub with friendly bar staff and good food. 2 mins walk to Budgens shop. Also felt like you’d really escaped to the country, beautiful village, whilst being close enough to attractions. Only stayed one night as we were on route from Yorkshire to Devon and wanted to break up the journey and visit to Diddly Squat Farm Shop (15 mins away) and The Farmers Dog (40 mins away). Thanks for a lovely stay :-)

Great stay. Huge house with loads of room and right next to the pub. We left a sheet and pillow case and they kindly posted it back. So helpful
Great shop over the road too and the pubs nearby are great including the brewery
